How to Manage Your Binance Withdrawal Address Book

Published on 2026-03-16 | 9 min

Learn how to use Binance's address book and withdrawal whitelist to safely and efficiently manage your frequently used withdrawal addresses.

Manually entering a long address string every time you withdraw is both tedious and error-prone. Binance's address book feature lets you save frequently used withdrawal addresses so you can simply select them next time. You can go even further by enabling the whitelist feature for enhanced security. Let's walk through how to use it. After signing up for Binance, you'll have access to the address book feature, and managing it is even easier when you download the Binance app.

How to Add Addresses to the Address Book

In the Binance app, go to the withdrawal page and select your token. Next to the address input field, you'll see an "Address Book" icon. Tap it to view your saved addresses or add new ones.

When adding a new address, you'll need to fill in: a label (an easy-to-recognize name, like "My OKX Wallet" or "Cold Wallet"), the withdrawal address, and the corresponding network.

You can also check "Save to Address Book" during a withdrawal to automatically save the address you just entered.

The same operation is available on the web — find "Withdrawal Address Management" or "Address Book" under the "Wallet" menu.

What Is the Whitelist Feature

The address book is just a convenience feature — you can still withdraw to any address. The whitelist feature goes further — once enabled, you can only withdraw to addresses saved in your address book. Withdrawals to addresses not on the whitelist will be rejected outright.

This dramatically improves security. Even if someone obtains your account password and security verification codes, they can't transfer your funds to their own addresses if they can't modify the whitelist.

How to Enable the Whitelist

In the Binance app's security settings, find the "Withdrawal Whitelist" option and toggle it on. Enabling it requires security verification (password, Google Authenticator code, etc.).

Once enabled, every new address added to the whitelist requires security verification, and newly added addresses typically have a cooling period (usually 24 hours) before they can be used for withdrawals. This design prevents attackers from immediately adding an address and transferring funds after compromising an account.

Address Book Management Tips

Give each address a clear and specific label. Don't use names like "Address 1" or "Address 2" that provide no identification. Specify which platform or wallet the address belongs to, such as "Ledger Cold Wallet - BTC" or "OKX-ETH-ERC20."

Periodically clean out addresses you no longer use. If you've stopped using a certain wallet or closed an exchange account, remove the corresponding addresses from your address book.

Pay attention to different network addresses. The same token may have different addresses on different networks. For example, your ETH ERC20 address and ETH BEP20 address might be different. Clearly labeling the network type in your address book helps avoid mistakes.

Editing and Deleting Addresses

You can edit saved address labels or delete unwanted addresses in the address book. Deletion operations typically require security verification as well.

If you've enabled whitelist mode, deleting an address means you can no longer withdraw to it unless you re-add it (and wait another 24 hours for it to take effect).

Withdrawal Flow After Using the Address Book

With the whitelist enabled, the withdrawal process becomes: select a token, choose the target address from the address book dropdown, enter the amount, and confirm. The entire process requires no manual address entry — it's both fast and secure.

Summary

Binance's address book saves your frequently used withdrawal addresses, eliminating the hassle of manual entry each time. Enabling the whitelist feature adds another layer of security, allowing withdrawals only to saved addresses. It's recommended to give each address a clear label, note the network type, and regularly clean out unused old addresses. Using the whitelist together with the address book is an effective way to protect your withdrawal security.
