Huawei Phone Blocking Binance Installation? Here's How to Bypass It

Published on 2026-03-03 | 7 min

Solutions for when Huawei phones block the Binance app installation, with multiple effective workarounds.

Huawei phone users often run into a frustrating issue when installing the Binance app: the system pops up a risk warning and blocks the installation. This is Huawei's built-in "Pure Mode" at work. No need to worry — disabling this feature lets you install normally.

First, make sure you have the correct installation package. Download the Binance app to get the official Android package. Once installed, you can sign up for Binance directly within the app.

Disable Pure Mode

Huawei's Pure Mode is enabled by default and blocks all APK installations from outside the Huawei App Gallery. Here's how to disable it:

Open "Settings," search for "Pure Mode" or navigate to "Settings > System & Updates > Pure Mode." Tap to disable it. Once disabled, you can install APK files downloaded from the web normally.

The path may vary slightly across EMUI versions. If you can't find "Pure Mode," try searching for "external sources" or "unknown sources" in settings and enable the relevant permission.

If It Still Won't Install After Disabling Pure Mode

On some Huawei models, even after disabling Pure Mode, you may still get a security check prompt during installation. Don't tap "Cancel" — instead, look for the small text that says "Install Anyway" or "Continue Installing" and tap that.

Another scenario is a prompt saying "Installation package has risks." This is a false positive from Huawei's security center — the official Binance APK is safe. Tap "Learn More" or "Ignore Risks" to proceed.

Special Handling for HarmonyOS

On Huawei phones upgraded to HarmonyOS 4.0 or later, Pure Mode management works differently. Go to "Settings > Security > More Security Settings > External Source App Downloads" and enable it.

After enabling, the system may ask for your screen lock password — this is normal security verification. After confirming, you can install external APKs.

Post-Installation Tips

After installing the Binance app, for security's sake, you can re-enable Pure Mode. It doesn't affect daily use — it only blocks unofficial app store installations. Just temporarily disable it again when you need to update the Binance app.

When you first open the Binance app after installation, the system may prompt "Allow this app to access the network" — tap Allow. Otherwise, the app can't connect to servers and will show loading failures.

Reference for Other Android Brands

Xiaomi has a similar setting under "Settings > Privacy Protection > Special Permissions > Install Unknown Apps." OPPO and vivo use "Settings > Security > Install Unknown Apps." The logic is the same — grant installation permissions to your browser or file manager.
