How to Set Up Binance App Price Alerts — No More Chart Watching

Published on 2026-03-08 | 9 min

Learn how to configure Binance app push notifications and price alerts so you can stay informed about market movements without constantly watching charts.

The most exhausting part of crypto investing is watching charts. Prices change every minute, and you're always afraid of missing something important. The truth is, the Binance app's built-in notification features are already quite powerful — set them up properly and the app will proactively notify you of significant market moves. If you don't have a Binance account, sign up for Binance first, then download the Binance app to set up alerts.

Enable App Notification Permissions

Before setting up push notifications, make sure your phone allows the Binance app to send notifications.

Android users: Go to Phone Settings > Notification Management > find Binance and turn on notification permissions. Some Android phones have additional options like "Lock Screen Notifications" and "Banner Notifications" — enable those too.

iOS users: Go to Phone Settings > Notifications > find Binance > enable "Allow Notifications" and set the alert style to "Banner" or "Alert."

Android users should also check battery optimization settings. Some phones restrict background app notifications to save battery. Go to battery settings and add the Binance app to the unrestricted list so it can deliver notifications even when running in the background.

In-App Notification Settings

Open the Binance app, tap the profile icon in the bottom right, go to Settings, and find "Notifications" or "Push Settings." Here you'll find many notification types you can customize.

Market notifications include: abnormal price movement alerts, market gain/loss alerts, and price changes for coins you follow.

Trading notifications include: order fill alerts, futures expiration reminders, and take-profit/stop-loss trigger notifications.

Activity notifications include: new coin listings, Launchpool launches, and activity reward distributions.

Configure based on your needs. If you only care about market movements and don't want activity notifications, just enable market and trading categories.

Set Custom Price Alerts

Beyond automatic market movement notifications, you can set custom price alerts for specific tokens.

On the market page, find the token you're tracking, tap into it, and look for a bell icon. Tap it to set price alert conditions — for example, "Notify me when BTC goes above 70,000" or "Notify me when ETH drops below 3,000."

You can set multiple price alerts for multiple tokens simultaneously. When prices hit your targets, the app pushes a notification automatically, so you don't need to keep staring at the screen.

Set Percentage Change Alerts

Besides absolute price alerts, Binance also supports percentage change alerts. For example, set "Notify me when BTC moves more than 5% in 24 hours." This feature is great for catching unusual market movements — ignore it normally, and it alerts you when something big happens.

Push Notification Delays

Some users report that by the time they receive a notification, the price has already moved significantly. Push notifications inherently have some delay — from trigger to delivery can be a few seconds to tens of seconds. During extreme market conditions, this delay may be longer.

So don't rely entirely on push notifications for trading decisions. Their purpose is to let you know "something is happening in the market — time to pay attention." Actual trading should be done after opening the app to check real-time prices.

Too Many Notifications?

If you've set too many alerts and your phone buzzes all day, go back to push settings and simplify. Keep only the most important tokens and use wider trigger conditions. A 5% change alert is much quieter than a 1% one.

You can also use your phone's built-in Do Not Disturb mode to automatically silence notifications during sleep hours.

Summary

Setting up Binance app notifications involves three key steps: enable phone notification permissions, turn on the notification types you want in the app, and set custom price alerts for the tokens you follow. Once configured, you can go about your day knowing the app will proactively notify you of important market movements.
