Staring at charts for hours strains your eyes, especially at night. Dark mode significantly reduces screen brightness glare. The Binance app supports dark mode, but many people don't know where to find it. The method is simple — just a few taps. If you haven't installed it yet, download the Binance app. No account? Sign up for Binance.
Enable Dark Mode in the App
Open the Binance app, tap your profile icon (top left or bottom right). Go to "Settings" or the gear icon. Find "Appearance" or "Theme." You'll typically see three options: Light, Dark, and System (follows phone settings).
Select "Dark" and the interface immediately switches to a dark background. Candlestick charts, trading pages, wallet pages — everything goes dark.
Choosing "System" means the app automatically follows your phone's dark mode setting — light during the day, dark at night.
Chart Colors in Dark Mode
After switching to dark mode, chart color schemes automatically adapt. The background turns dark, and candles, moving averages, and volume bars adjust their colors for readability on the dark background.
If certain elements are hard to see in dark mode, you can adjust gain/loss colors and indicator colors in chart settings.
Other Display Settings
Beyond dark mode, several display-related options are adjustable in the Binance app's settings.
Gain/loss color scheme: Choose red-up-green-down (common in some Asian markets) or green-up-red-down (international standard). This affects charts and market lists.
Currency display: Choose to show asset values in BTC, USDT, or local fiat currency.
Benefits of Dark Mode
Reduces eye strain, especially in low-light environments. Much easier on the eyes for nighttime chart watching.
Saves battery. On OLED or AMOLED screens, black pixels are actually off, noticeably reducing screen power consumption.
Looks more professional. Many traders prefer dark interfaces because chart colors pop more against dark backgrounds.
Summary
To enable dark mode: Profile > Settings > Appearance/Theme > select Dark. You can also choose to follow your system setting for automatic switching. Dark mode is friendlier for nighttime use and saves battery on OLED screens. Also consider adjusting gain/loss color schemes to your preference.
