After trading on Binance for a while, your account accumulates many tiny balances — like 0.0001 BTC or a few obscure altcoins. These "dust" amounts are too small to trade but clutter up your portfolio. Binance offers a feature to convert them all into BNB.
Register on Binance to start using this feature. We recommend downloading the Binance App for regular small balance cleanup.
How to Convert Manually
Open the Binance App, go to "Funding" or "Wallet," and find "Convert Small Balance to BNB." The system will list all eligible small balances. Check the ones you want to convert and tap "Convert."
After conversion, these small balances are exchanged for BNB at the current market rate and deposited into your account.
What Counts as a Small Balance
Typically, only assets worth below a certain threshold (e.g., less than 10 USDT equivalent) qualify for the small balance conversion feature. Assets above this threshold won't appear in the list — you'll need to sell them on the market yourself.
Is There an Auto-Convert Feature
Binance has periodically offered an automatic small balance conversion feature. Check the small balance page for an "Auto Convert" or "Periodic Convert" toggle.
When enabled, the system will automatically convert small balances in your account to BNB at regular intervals. No manual action needed.
If the auto feature isn't currently available, we recommend doing a manual cleanup from time to time.
Are There Any Fees
Converting small balances to BNB is fee-free. However, the conversion rate may have a slight spread, which is normal.
What Can You Do with the Converted BNB
The BNB you receive from conversion is exactly the same as BNB you purchase directly. You can use it for trading, paying fees, participating in Launchpool, and more.
Many users accumulate BNB through regular small balance conversions. While each amount is small, it adds up over time.
Things to Note
Before converting, check the list for any coins you don't want to convert. Some coins may be low in value now, but if you're bullish on their future, you might not want to swap them. Double-check your selections.
Small balance conversion can generally only be done once every 24 hours. After converting, you'll need to wait until the next day for another conversion.
How to Reduce Dust
Use BNB to pay trading fees — this produces fewer leftover fragments. Also, when selling, choose "sell all" instead of entering a round number, which helps reduce leftover decimal amounts.
