Does Binance Internal Transfer Have Fees?

Detailed fee rules for Binance internal transfers, including Binance Pay and in-platform transfer cost comparison.

When transferring crypto to a friend on Binance, does it cost fees? This is a common question. The answer: most Binance internal transfers are free, but it depends on which method you use.

If you don't have a Binance account, register on Binance to create one. Existing users can download the Binance App for easier operation.

Binance Pay Transfer

Binance Pay is Binance's fee-free transfer feature. You just need the recipient's Pay ID, phone number, or email to transfer crypto directly. It doesn't go on-chain, so there are no network fees, and there are no amount limits.

Operation is simple: Open the App, tap "Pay," select "Send," enter the recipient's info, choose the coin and amount, and confirm. Arrives in seconds.

In-Platform Transfer (via Email/Phone)

Besides Binance Pay, you can also select "Internal Transfer" on the withdrawal page. Enter the recipient's Binance registered email or phone number to transfer, again with no fees. The system automatically recognizes this as an internal transfer and doesn't go on-chain.

Note that the recipient must also be a Binance user, and the email or phone number must match their Binance registration.

On-Chain Transfer Situations

If you don't use either method above and instead enter a wallet address to transfer, even if the recipient is also a Binance user, the system charges a network fee for an on-chain transaction. The system can't determine whether the address belongs to Binance or an external wallet.

Key recommendation: For transfers between Binance users, always use Binance Pay or internal transfer -- completely free and instant.

Transfer Limits

Binance Pay transfer limits vary based on your KYC level. Users who've completed basic verification have single and daily limits sufficient for regular use. If you need large transfers, check your verification level's corresponding limits first.

Where to See Received Transfers

Transfers received via Binance Pay go directly to your Funding Account. Internal transfers work the same way. If the sender has already sent but you don't see it, check whether it's in your spot account or another sub-account.

In summary: For transfers between Binance users, use Binance Pay or internal transfer -- completely free, instant delivery. Only on-chain transfers incur network fees.
