Opening Binance only to find you can't log in is one of the most stressful moments. But most login problems have simple solutions — just troubleshoot them one by one.
If you don't have a Binance account yet, register on Binance first. The app tends to be more stable than the web version, so download the Binance app as a backup.
Cause 1: Network Issues
This is the most common issue for users in China. Binance servers are overseas, so access can be unstable. Try switching networks — if Wi-Fi isn't working, try mobile data, or vice versa.
Clearing browser cache or restarting the app may also help. Sometimes it's a DNS issue — switching to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 can resolve it.
Cause 2: Wrong Password
If you forgot your password, tap "Forgot Password" on the login page. The system sends a reset link to your registered email or phone. Follow the prompts to set a new one.
After resetting, Binance may restrict withdrawals for 24 hours as a security measure. This lifts automatically.
Cause 3: Google Authenticator Code Mismatch
If you use Google Authenticator and the code doesn't work, it's usually because your phone's clock is off. Google Authenticator relies on precise system time.
Fix: Set your phone time to "Automatic." Or in Google Authenticator, go to Settings > Time correction > Sync now.
Cause 4: Account Frozen
If you see an account restriction message after entering correct credentials, contact Binance support for assistance.
Cause 5: Outdated App
If you haven't updated the app in a while, the old version may not connect properly. Download the latest version. Android users can install the latest APK directly; iOS users should update via the App Store.
Cause 6: Device Restriction
Logging in from a new device may trigger extra verification. Check your email for a device confirmation email from Binance, click the link, then try again.
Emergency Measures
If the app won't work, try the Binance website in a browser. If that fails too, try a different browser — Chrome, Firefox, and Safari all work.
Remember Binance's official domain is binance.com. Don't search for "Binance" and click random results, as phishing sites may appear.
Prevention
Install Binance on both phone and computer so you have a backup. Keep the app updated. Regularly confirm your email and phone number can receive verification codes.
