What Are NFT Mystery Boxes?
Like physical blind boxes, you buy one and receive a random NFT with varying rarity levels. Lucky pulls can be worth far more than the box price. Download the Binance app to experience them.
Rarity Levels
- Normal (N): Most common, 70-80% probability
- Rare (R): 15-20%
- Super Rare (SR): 3-8%
- Super Super Rare (SSR): Under 1%
Always check the official probability table before buying.
How to Open
After purchase, go to "My NFTs," find the unopened box, and tap "Open." Alternatively, sell the unopened box on the secondary market — some buyers pay a premium for the mystery factor.
Are They Worth It?
From a probability standpoint, most people get Normal-tier NFTs. If the Normal tier's market value is below the box price, you're mathematically losing money. It's essentially high-risk gambling where the platform is the long-term winner.
Consider buying when: The project is high-quality, even Normal-tier isn't a loss, you're using money you can afford to lose, or you enjoy the thrill.
Avoid when: Probabilities aren't disclosed, the secondary market is dead, prices are inflated, or you're driven by FOMO.
Summary
Mystery boxes are fun but high-risk. Most buyers lose money. Use only disposable income and enjoy the process rather than treating it as an investment strategy.
