How to transfer funds between Binance's various internal accounts.

New Binance users often wonder why their balance can't be used for trading. It's because Binance has multiple internal accounts — you need to transfer funds to the right one.

Register on Binance and download the Binance app.

Binance Accounts

  • Funding Account: Where C2C purchases arrive; withdrawal source
  • Spot Account: For spot trading
  • Futures Account: Futures margin
  • Earn Account: For savings/staking
  • Margin Account: For margin trading

Funds don't auto-flow between them.

How to Transfer

Assets page > Transfer > select source and destination > choose token and amount > confirm. Free and instant.

Common Scenarios

Bought USDT via C2C, want to trade spot: Funding > Spot. Want futures: Spot or Funding > Futures. Want to withdraw after trading: Spot > Funding > C2C sell. Want to earn: Spot > Earn (or auto-transfer during subscription).

Quick Shortcut

Many pages show a "Transfer" button when balance is insufficient — use it for fast in-context transfers.

Notes

Futures accounts with open positions won't allow full withdrawal. Locked Earn products can't be transferred until maturity.
