Step-by-step guide to creating a Binance Web3 Wallet and understanding MPC key management.

What Is the Binance Web3 Wallet?

A decentralized wallet built into the Binance app for interacting with DApps, DeFi, and NFTs while keeping control of your assets.

Download the Binance app — the Web3 Wallet is built in.

Creation Steps

Open app > find "Web3" in navigation > Create Wallet > agree to terms > set password/biometrics > complete backup.

No Traditional Seed Phrase — MPC Technology

Unlike MetaMask or Trust Wallet (12/24-word seed phrases), Binance uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation):

  • Private key split into 3 shares: on your device, on Binance's server, and your recovery backup
  • Any transaction needs 2 of 3 shares
  • You don't manage a seed phrase
  • Binance can't access your assets alone
  • Device loss is recoverable

Backup Your Recovery Key

In Web3 Wallet settings > Backup > save the recovery key securely. Never screenshot to camera roll or upload to cloud.

Supported Chains

BNB Chain, Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, and more — one wallet, multiple chains.

Transferring Assets In

Copy your Web3 wallet address > withdraw from Binance exchange to this address (or use in-app transfer for free/instant).

Security

Backup recovery key. Never share key information. Only connect trusted DApps. Regularly review authorizations. Start with small amounts.
