What's the Minimum Deposit Amount for Binance?

Published on 2026-03-26 | 13 min

Binance minimum deposit amounts by coin, and what happens if you deposit below the threshold.

Deposits Have a Minimum — Fall Short and They Won't Credit

Binance sets a minimum deposit amount for on-chain deposits. If you send less than this threshold, your coins may arrive at Binance's blockchain address but won't be automatically credited to your wallet. Sign up for Binance, then download the Binance app — after selecting a coin and network on the deposit page, you'll see the specific minimum.

Minimum Deposit Amounts by Coin (Reference)

These are common coins and their minimums (actual values may be adjusted — always check the app):

Coin Network Minimum Deposit
USDT TRC20 1 USDT
USDT ERC20 1 USDT
USDT BEP20 1 USDT
BTC Bitcoin 0.00001 BTC
ETH ERC20 0.00001 ETH
BNB BEP20 0.01 BNB
XRP Ripple 1 XRP
SOL Solana 0.01 SOL
DOGE Dogecoin 10 DOGE
ADA Cardano 1 ADA
DOT Polkadot 1 DOT
MATIC Polygon 1 MATIC

Minimums may differ across networks. The same coin could have different thresholds on ERC20 versus BEP20.

What Happens If You Deposit Below the Minimum

Funds Reach the Address but Aren't Credited

The blockchain doesn't care about Binance's rules — as long as the transaction is valid, it succeeds. So if you send 0.5 USDT (assuming the minimum is 1 USDT), the on-chain transaction shows as successful and the coins are indeed at Binance's address. But Binance's system won't add that 0.5 USDT to your account.

No Automatic Refund

Below-minimum deposits are not returned to your sending address. The coins just sit at Binance's on-chain address — you can't see or use them.

Possible Cumulative Crediting

In some cases, if you later send another deposit and the two combined exceed the minimum, the system may credit them together. However, this mechanism doesn't apply to all coins.

How to Check the Minimum Deposit Amount

On the App's Deposit Page

This is the most accurate method:

  1. Open the Binance app → Tap "Deposit"
  2. Search for and select the coin
  3. Select the network
  4. The bottom of the page states "Minimum Deposit: XXX"

Checking this number before each deposit takes just a few seconds but avoids problems.

In the Help Center

Binance's help center has a summary of deposit and withdrawal parameters for each coin. However, updates may lag behind the app — always defer to what the app shows.

Why Minimums Exist

System Cost

Every deposit requires processing (verification, accounting, balance allocation, etc.). For extremely small amounts (e.g., 0.001 USDT), the processing cost may exceed the value of the deposit itself.

Dust Attack Prevention

Without a minimum, malicious users could send massive quantities of tiny deposits to consume Binance's system resources — a so-called "dust attack."

Industry Standard

Nearly all centralized exchanges have minimum deposit thresholds. This isn't unique to Binance.

Can Below-Minimum Deposits Be Recovered?

Contact Support

You can try reaching out to Binance support, explain the situation, and provide the TxID. Support may manually credit the funds, but this isn't guaranteed.

You'll need to provide:

  • TxID
  • Coin, amount, and network
  • Your Binance UID

Send a Follow-Up Deposit

You can send another deposit so the combined total exceeds the minimum. Before doing this, check with support whether this approach works for your specific coin.

Very Small Amounts? Move On

If you only sent a few cents' worth, the time cost of recovery far exceeds the coin's value. Consider it a lesson learned.

Common Pitfalls

Pitfall 1: Forgetting About Withdrawal Fees

When transferring from another exchange, the withdrawal fee is deducted from the transfer amount. For example:

  • You withdraw 10 USDT
  • Withdrawal fee is 1 USDT
  • Only 9 USDT arrives

If the minimum deposit were 10 USDT (it currently isn't), 9 USDT wouldn't meet it. Always calculate the net amount after fees.

Pitfall 2: Test Deposits Below the Minimum

Many people rightly test with a small amount before sending large sums. But the test amount must also meet the minimum. If you test with 0.01 USDT when the minimum is 1 USDT, the test deposit won't arrive and you might wrongly conclude that deposits are broken.

Recommended test amount: Slightly above the minimum. If the minimum is 1 USDT, test with 2–5 USDT.

Pitfall 3: Different Minimums on Different Networks

The same coin may have different minimums on different networks. If the minimum is 0.1 on network A and 1 on network B, switching networks means you need to recheck the threshold.

Pitfall 4: Sweeping Dust to Binance

Some people want to send leftover small-balance tokens (dust) from their wallet to Binance. If these amounts are below the minimum, depositing them is futile.

C2C Minimum Purchase Amount

If you buy crypto with fiat via C2C, minimums are generally lower than on-chain deposits:

  • C2C USDT purchases typically start at around 50–100 CNY equivalent
  • Different sellers may set different minimum purchase amounts
  • C2C has no on-chain "minimum deposit" concept — you get what you buy

For smaller amounts, the Binance app C2C feature may be a better fit.

FAQ

Is the minimum the same for every coin?

No. Every coin — and even every network — has its own minimum. Check each one individually on the deposit page.

Do minimums change?

Yes. Binance may adjust thresholds based on market conditions and operational needs. Always confirm the latest figures in the app before depositing.

Will below-minimum deposits eventually be credited?

Generally not automatically. Unless a subsequent deposit brings the cumulative total above the threshold, or support intervenes manually.

Do internal transfers between exchanges have minimums?

Internal transfers between Binance and other platforms may have their own rules, typically lower than on-chain deposit minimums. Check the details in the app after signing up for Binance.

Safety Tips

  • Check the minimum amount before every deposit to avoid funds getting stuck
  • Test deposits must also exceed the minimum
  • Don't trust third-party services claiming to "recover below-minimum funds"
  • Always trust the figures shown in the Binance app — third-party sites may be outdated
  • Contact in-app support for any issues, with TxID and other evidence on hand
